Samsung is updating Android 9 Pie one of its best-selling phones, the Samsung Galaxy J5 2017, which will now have the new One UI interface.
Just a year ago we told you that the Samsung Galaxy J5 2017 began to receive what was the latest version of Oreo, 8.1. Today the news has been updated, literally and metaphorically, since this model has begun to receive what, for the moment, is the latest stable version of the system, Android 9.0 Pie.
We talked about a mobile that was announced two years ago so this is, more than likely, the last stable version that it receives, beyond the security patches.
One UI arrives at the Samsung Galaxy J5 2017
However, it is a great change since with Android 9 Samsung models also comes One UI, the new interface that almost completely changes the way you use the mobile and the aesthetics of the operating system.
We already thoroughly analyze this interface on the Samsung Galaxy S9 and, although it is not exactly the same since there are options that fit each device, you can see what the novelties are.
In addition to this interface, the Samsung Galaxy J5 2017 receives the August security patch, so it puts it at the head of the updated models in this way.
The update is already being sent
The first reports of the arrival of the firm OTA (Over The Air) are coming from Russia so in a few weeks, we should also see its arrival in other countries, including Europeans, where this model was a sales success two years ago.
If you want to check if your model has already received it you can go to the Settings section, there to the Software Update area and search manually with the option that the system gives us.
