Hynix SuperCore is the new series of solid-state units for the consumer market of the South Korean specialist, one of the largest suppliers of memories worldwide.
The first model of this new Hynix SuperCore brand is the Gold S31, a unit in standard 2.5-inch format and connected to the SATA interface. The manufacturer emphasizes that all its components have been created internally, from NAND Flash 3D memories to the SK Hynix Controller, through the built-in DRAM and firmware.
Their data transfer performance is at the limit of what these SATA units can offer, with sequential readings/writes of up to 560/520 Mbytes per second.
The user who needs more performance will have to go to the NVMe PCIe, although these SATA are more versatile and can be included in virtually any PC, desktop or laptop replacing hard drives.
