Design is known in a huge size

The size of mobile phones has grown since modern smartphones were invented. The whole screen concept is taken to a new level with terminals with huge minimal and diagonal edges and that, in the Huawei Mate 20X 5G, is taken to the extreme. We talk about a device that has a size not suitable for everyone. If the iPhone Plus you think is great is that you have not used or seen a Mate 20X.

The Mate 20X 5G is not big, it is huge

Its 7.2 inches are a joy to play and watch videos. It has been one of the few times I wanted to move my phone away from my face to see it better. This makes it somewhat uncomfortable to wear it in pants, both in the front pocket and in the back, and I always tend to put it on the table when I feel.

It also shows in the weight and is that 233 grams are many, however, balanced the terminal is, that it is. At some point, it has come to bother you in the hand, of course, but the truth is that less than I thought.

The design is not particularly noteworthy since it is an XL version of the Huawei Mate 20, with a triple rear camera in a square element in the back area, the fingerprint sensor under that element and a nice touch finish. Of course, it is not usually a footprint magnet, which is appreciated.

For fear of falling out, I used it sometimes with a cover and that makes the touch experience a bit worse when creating a flange on the edges of the screen. It has small edges and there is only a slight concession to the notch in the upper area, on which is the headset, which is also the second speaker.

In the upper part we have the infrared sensor and the ambient noise microphone and in the lower one the charging connector, the main speaker and the microphone. And no, there is no headphone jack. The buttons are the normal three, the volume and the power.

A performance with lights and shadows

On paper, the power of the Huawei Mate 20X 5G is beyond doubt. Use the same processor and memory configuration as the Huawei P30 Pro that goes so well. What happens is that, in reality, we have not noticed it so fluently. We explain ourselves.

When using applications such as Instagram or demanding social networks, the terminal goes very fast. Also, multitasking management is solvent, with games in the background for a while without having to be closed due to the lack of RAM.

Even benchmark tests give us very high figures that, although they are not the best, they are very good.
